of severe abuse,” said St. Vincent School for Boys’ Director

St. Vincent’s School for Boys is a licensed, residential treatment
home for at-risk boys ages 7 to 17. Found in 1855 to house, clothe, feed,
educate and care for the orphans of California’s Gold Rush, St.
Vincent’s School for Boys is one of the oldest institutions dedicated
exclusively to the care of boys. Boys are provided 24-hour care and mental
health services. Serving over 25 California counties, St. Vincent’s
is the only Northern California treatment center that offers a Therapeutic
Equestrian Program, allowing boys at St. Vincent’s to engage in
a remarkably effective form of recreational therapy. # # #
