4TH
FRIDAY CULTURAL EVENTS
The 4th Friday of each month at 5PM is a time for members of our community
to share something special from their home traditions. The informal gatherings
take place in our Infant/Toddler yard at the school’s center. There
is always food to share and the social atmosphere provides a wonderful
opportunity for parents to meet and families to make important connections.
4th Friday events can feature music, dance, art, stories, games and special
guests. We showcase and appreciate the rich diversity our community represents.
Children’s Village has a lot to celebrate!
Each May our community comes together at Golden Gate Park for a relaxed afternoon of food, fun and field games. We receive a generous donation of grill items from area grocers and families are invited to bring side dished, deserts, and drinks to share. The park setting away from Children’s Village Campus offers an exciting new perspective for kids and
parents too. 
To
honor our rising kindergarteners we host a graduation ceremony on the 2nd
Friday in August at 4PM. We celebrate with art and song; and the children
share what they’ve learned. The brief ceremony is followed by a potluck
meal and fond farewells. 
At noon on the 2nd Friday in December parents are invited to bring a dish to pass and share in a potluck meal with their children at school. This festive event also includes group song, and table activities for children and parents together.
Weekend
Work Days take place quarterly. The six-hour saturday sessions provide opportunities
for parent and staff volunteers to work on facillity enhansements and maintenance.
Volunteers can also participate in administrative organization or special
projects.
