Martinis & Jazz raises $100,000

for HIV/AIDS housing & support programs

Martinis & Jazz, Catholic Charities CYO’s annual fundraising event for its HIV/AIDS programs, raised a phenomenal $100,000 on Monday, February 6.

The festive evening, which included an online auction, generated funds and marked the 20th anniversary of the monumental support CCCYO has provided those affected by disabling HIV/AIDS.

The sold-out celebration at Shanghai 1930, featuring San Francisco singer-songwriter Spencer Day, was attended by a multi-racial, multi-ethnic crowd of residents from San Francisco, Marin and San Mateo counties, politicians, society patrons and leaders from other religious faiths.

A quintessentially Bay Area crowd ranging in ages from 20 to 80, gay and straight, enjoyed scrumptious hors d’ oeuvres and martinis. The evening’s attire ran the gamut from blue jeans and leather pants to silk and chiffon.

Thank you for your support!

25% percent of the HIV/AIDS population in the City has received assistance from Catholic Charities CYO services.

Over 200,000 nights of housing for people living with HIV/AIDS this year and every year since 1995 are provided or supported by Catholic Charities CYO.

A first responder to the epidemic in San Francisco in 1985, Catholic Charities CYO continues to be one of the largest HIV/AIDS service providers on the West Coast.
