Catholic Charities CYO’s 10th Annual Loaves & Fishes Leadership Fund and Awards Dinner at the Ritz-Carlton raised a record-breaking $2.1 million on Saturday, April 21. More than $8 million has been raised in support of Catholic Charities CYO 33 programs through the Loaves & Fishes Fund and Awards Dinner over the past 10 years.
Janet and Clint Reilly, Event Chairs for the 10th year, hosted the elegant evening, which launched Catholic Charities CYO’s Centennial celebration by honoring individuals and organizations in the Bay Area who have distinguished themselves by their outstanding charitable works. A special highlight of this 10th Annual Loaves & Fishes Dinner was a Centennial toast offered by Executive Director Brian Cahill, recognizing the work of Catholic Charities CYO since 1907 in changing lives in our community.
Archbishop George Niederauer, Chairman of the Board of Catholic Charities CYO, presented the 2007 Loaves & Fishes Awards for Outstanding Service to the Community in dedication to the life and works of Leo T. McCarthy, for Outstanding Corporate Philanthropy to the Nibbi Family and Nibbi Brothers Construction, for Outstanding Community Organization to the Auxiliaries of Little Children’s Aid, and for Outstanding Philanthropic Works to B.J. and Bebe Cassin and the Cassin Educational Initiative Foundation.
All of this year’s distinguished honorees were profiled in word and video for over 500 guests. Each presentation highlighted the unique and inspirational characteristics of the honorees that garnered their recognition.
