Parish & Community Response

What we do…
Meet with Pastors, Parish Councils, Social Justice Committees, school Principals, Athletic Directors, Just Faith groups, and RCIA groups and other parish committees to bring our message of care and service. In response to needs expressed we offer

  • Seminars for Building Healthier Relationships… Parish Town Hall meetings and multi-lingual seminars covering family communication, dealing with Domestic Violence, Immigration, Caregiving issues, as well as positive coaching and parenting skills
  • Provide service projects and speakers for Just Faith and RCIA groups
  • Collaboration with our faith-based partners (St. Vincent de Paul Society, St Anthony’s Foundation, Interfaith Councils, Irish Pastoral Center, Archdiocesean Office of Public Policy, Youth Ministry, Ethnic Ministry, SF Organizing Project) to promote social justice. One project is delivering fair-trade coffee from a Muslim, Jewish and Christian cooperative in Uganda to multi-faith congregations in San Francisco
  • Provide training for Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist, who visit the homebound elderly and disabled, enabling them to expand their ministry armed with knowledge of resources available
  • Brokering information between parishes and clustering parishes with similar needs to provide more efficient and effective access to services

Here are some examples of our services:

  • Therapists in St. Gabriel’s, St. Anthony’s — SF and Redwood City parishes
  • school counselors in St. Paul’s and St. Robert’s
  • Case Manager at Most Holy Redeemer’s Wednesday Night Supper
  • Gym Directors at St. Paul the Shipwreck, St. Emydius and Mission Dolores
