Adoption Information and Referral Services assists in the education, outreach, and information-sharing part of the often-challenging pathway to adoption. In partnership with California Kids Connection, the state-wide adoption exchange provided by non-profit Oakland-based Family Builders By Adoption, Catholic Charities CYO’s Adoption Information and Referral Services connects inquiring families to county and private agencies, a key link that helps more foster children in California find permanent homes with loving families.

Parish  Another focus of this program is the expanded outreach to the parishes of the San Francisco Archdiocese. Catholic Charities CYO’s Adoption Information and Referral Services works with pastors and parish staffs to communicate to parishioners the immense need for adoptive families for at risk youth, encourage parish families to consider whether they might be able to open their hearts to such a child, and provide information and guidance for those families who signal an interest.

Post-Adoption  Adoption Information and Referral Services will continue to provide post-adoption services to post-adoptive individuals and families.
