Caring for children. Keeping families strong. The children of today are the world's creators of tomorrow. And there's no service more dedicated to advancing youth's cause than our Children's Programs. We're here to empower youth with the skills, knowledge, and support they need to succeedat school, within the family, and in their communities. Several of our children's programs focus on child deveopment programs and after-school care, so that parents can remain at work. Other service factions concentrate on teaching good parents how to be great. All help youth and their families see a brighter future. San Francisco: 415.345.1290 x205 Children's Village Child Development Center Visit the Children's Village website Located in the SOMA section of San Francisco, Children's Village Child Development Center provides a year round arts enriched day program for children ages 3 months to 5 years. The Children’s Village Community is a coming-together of 102 families who are representative of the eclectic quality and diversity of the Bay Area. Nine languages are represented, as are adoptive, gay, lesbian and one or more parent families. An equally diverse staff of childcare professionals partners with families to nurture each child’s capacity to love and learn. At the Village, children explore the complexities of their world through creative arts, social interaction, enhanced play and nature studies in our urban garden setting. Our goal is to provide a well rounded, stimulating experience, which will prepare the children in our care for engaged learning through elementary school and beyond. At Children’s Village we are proud to socialize, educate, and inspire 136 young children yearly. Children’s Village hours of operation are 7:30 am to 6:00 pm with pre-established holidays and teacher preparation week. 250 10th Street Mission Day Care Mission Day Care serves the Mission, Outer Mission, & South of Market areas of San Francisco. It is this program's conviction that children, their families, and Mission Day Care can create a network of learning. Together. Mission Day Care offers before-school and after-school educational programs to children, 5-12, who come from low-income families. Our skilled staff works to ensure a child's academic development by supporting the entire family, through culturally-sensitive counseling and intervention, when and if needed. Children's nutritional needs are met while they attend our center. Our special after school activities include summer and seasonal sessions. Mission Day Care also acts as an important link to a child's regular school, as language barriers often prohibit parents from successfully advocating for their own children.
