BENEFITING ST. VINCENT'S ABOUT VINCENZO AUCTION WINE & FOOD TASTING

Vincenzo raises $133,000 for St. Vincent’s School for Boys

The 12th Annual Vincenzo Wine Tasting and Auction benefiting St. Vincent’s School for Boys was held on Friday, November 14 in San Francisco at the historic Bently Reserve in San Francisco.

Over 150 guests mingled with Tom Klein and Kate Kelly Klein, Honorary Co-Chairs and proprietors of Rodney Strong Vineyards, as well as emcee Tori Ritchie, auctioneers Joe Sweeney and Dan Donahoe and Sean, an alumnus of St. Vincent’s, who spoke intimately of how the School had changed his life.

The event featured a gourmet dinner by Dan McCall and tastings from over 21 local and national vineyards and wineries, including Rodney Strong, Dominus, J.P. Harbison, Oakville, Roederer, Surh Luchtel and even Pedras from New York!

As the guests savored and sipped, they browsed on-line silent auction lots containing premier wine, getaway and restaurant packages. During the live auction, generous bidders raised their paddles for the boys of St. Vincent’s and went home with items such as diamond and ruby earrings, a getaway to Bangkok, Thailand, and a 1776 Bottle of Cognac. Even in this tough economic climate, both auctions raised over $77,000.

The evening was extraordinary and will help ensure that the important work of St. Vincent’s will continue for years to come.
