The auxiliary groups of Catholic Charities CYO are volunteer driven membership groups that support our programs.
These auxiliaries conduct fundraisers and coordinate volunteer opportunities to work directly with our clients in a meaningful way. If you are interested in membership opportunities please call the contact information listed below.
Catholic Charities Auxiliary of San Mateo County
Purpose:
To raise funds in support of the Catholic Charities CYO programs in San Mateo County San Carlos Adult Day Services, Meals on Wheels, and San Mateo Behavioral Healthcare
Membership:
Currently about 270 women from the San Mateo County parish communities.

History:
Catholic Social Services was first established in San Mateo County in 1943. Its all volunteer Primrose House shop opened in May of 1969.
Fundraisers:
A resale shop in Burlingame is the organization’s primary source of donations. “Primrose House” is located at 307 Primrose Road in Burlingame. Working in the shop is lots of fun and interesting! We’d love some more shoppers to volunteer with us so we can keep our shop going. Other fundraisers include a fashion show every two years and a card/game party in February.
Little Children’s Aid Junior Auxiliary
Purpose:
To support the Catholic Charities CYO programs and to respond to the immediate needs of underprivileged youth through financial contributions and group efforts.
Membership:
Women with busy lives including careers, family and philanthropic pursuits who are interested in providing love, support and hope for abused, troubled and homeless children and families in San Francisco while making lasting friendships within the organization. If you want a volunteer group that isn’t loaded with bureaucracy and will take the time you have to give, this is the group for you! Join, and you can quickly dive into a project.

History:
Founded in 1907. In 1949, the Little Children’s Aid Junior Auxiliary separated from the original auxiliary in an effort to expand its outreach to a younger generation.
Fundraisers:
Family-friendly Bowl-a-thon, Casino Night and family-friendly Bingo
Night.
Little Children’s Aid Senior Auxiliary
Purpose:
To support four children’s programs of Catholic Charities CYO including St. Joseph’s Family Center, Richmond Hills Family Center, Guerrero House and Rita da Cascia.
Membership:
We welcome all women and have 450 members. Twice a year is a general meeting. The Newcomers Tea is in April.

History:
Going strong since 1907 when the group was founded to provide for the children left homeless and orphaned by the San Fran¬cisco earthquake and fire.
Fundraisers:
Fall luncheon/silent auction & white elephant sale; Raffle each month; Archbishop’s Christmas Dinner 1st Sunday in December; Every two years a phantom rummage sale and on the following year a Race Day and luncheon (horse races).
