Volunteer

The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.

- Gandhi

Volunteers have the power to change lives and impact communities. Donating your time, even if it is just a small amount, can create lasting effects in the lives of the individuals and families we serve.

  • One hour a week reading with a child in one of our transitional housing programs can spark a hunger for learning and education that might alter the course of their life.
  • Visiting a home bound senior as a volunteer Meals on Wheels driver can provide immense joy to an elderly person who longs for daily conversation and human contact.
  • Spending time at an HIV/AIDS residential program making dinner or leading an activity provides renewed energy and excitement in the life of its residents.

Volunteers at Catholic Charities CYO are the heart of our agency. They help us carry out our mission of supporting families, aging and disabled adults, and youth by providing essential services within our programs. Catholic Charities CYO could not touch 40,000 lives every year without your incredible generosity.
